Having already been in practice for several years in the Silicon Valley,
Dr. Greg Jellinek opened his original practice for Plastic Surgery in Truckee California in 1982. This effort was in response to the departure from the North Lake Tahoe area of the two full time plastic surgeons, Drs. Holderness and Coleman, who had been serving the area up until that time. Dr. Jellinek’s efforts in Truckee have continued on a part time, and in an “on demand” basis, until the autumn of 2009 when he relocated to Truckee on a full time basis to open Tahoe Plastic Surgery.
Tahoe Plastic Surgery is located on Brockway Road at “The Rock” business complex about half way between downtown Truckee and the airport. The physical address is 11209 Brockway Road, Suite 201.
Tahoe Plastic Surgery provides a wide range of services and products related to non- invasive cosmetic treatments; as well as both traditional reconstructive plastic surgery remedies; and featuring the doctor’s core interest in Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Surgery.
Dr. Jellinek believes strongly in the "doctor-patient" relationship. The portal to Plastic Surgery Services is the initial consultation. This “sit down” meeting provides a venue for the potential patient and the physician to get to know each other. The patient’s task during the consultation is to inform the doctor as to her/his concerns, anxieties, and desires; and it is the doctor’s charge to devise a treatment plan to remedy those concerns. At Tahoe Plastic Surgery you will be evaluated by the surgeon, not by a nurse, or other para-medical personnel. Your care will be personalized from the moment you enter the consultation until your treatment plan has been completed. Dr. Jellinek brings an extensive education including training and board certification earned both in General Surgery and in Plastic Surgery; all combined with decades of private practice experience to bear on each individual patient’s concerns.
